
Joe Stefan
Assistant Coach 
Joe Stefan, who is the brother of head coach Greg Stefan, brings a wealth of international hockey experience to Plymouth. After playing in the Ontario Hockey League for Brantford and Hamilton (now Erie) from 1983-86 and in minor pro in North America from 1988-91, Stefan joined his brother Gary in England while playing for the Slough Jets of the British National League.
Stefan played with Slough from 1991-97, Basingstoke from 1997-98 and then back with Slough from 1998-02. He became head coach and general manager of Slough in 1998 and the Jets won the BNL championship in 1998-99. Stefan retired from playing in 2002.
Stefan joined the Whalers as a scout in 2005 and became the assistant coach during the summer of 2007.
