The Plymouth Whalers will play the Kitchener Rangers in a best four-of-seven Ontario Hockey League Western Conference semifinal series starting Friday at 7:05 pm at Compuware Arena. 

Plymouth eliminated Guelph, 4-games-to-2, in the Western Conference quarterfinals.  Kitchener advanced by eliminating Owen Sound, 4-games-to-1, in the Western Conference quarterfinals.
